Applied Work-Based Learning
I started working in the ePortfolio studio my 1st semsester at ODU. At the time, I had 2 classes that started at 8 am in the morning, and ended at 10 pm at night. I really had nothing to do during the middle of the day. I lived over the bridge at the time so it was such a hard commute to come back and forth every day 4x. So I thought I should get an "on campus" job. The one that resonated with me the most was the ePortfolio studio. I had no idea what an ePortfolio was, Elle and Megan explain it so well. They thought my resume fit perfectly for the job since I had prior tudoring experience.
Once starting in the ePortfolio studio, I was really bad at the domains we used as in WIX and Wordpress. I ended up making my own ePortfolio on both domains to get familiarized with the website building process.

In view of my participation in the Applied Work-Based course, I think it's fundamental to acknowledge that handling my ePortfolio as an assistant has helped me succeed both academically and professionally. Taking part in the Eportfolio studio has provided a range of experiences that are unique due to their essentially rewarding and complex world.
During my time there, helping with Eportfolio has been a crucial part of my support system for important personal and professional growth. It's given me a place to engage in active learning and given me a better understanding of the little things that go into student engagement and academic support. Moreover, the challenges associated with serving as an Eportfolio Assistant have brought to light the significance of adaptability and perseverance in navigating diverse educational settings.
Furthermore, being a part of the ePortfolio studio has allowed me to improve my networking abilities and build a solid professional brand. I have attempted to establish myself as an active participant in the academic and professional fields by utilizing my developed abilities and experiences.
Importantly, my experience with Eportfolio is more than just tasks related to my job; it's a journey of metamorphosis marked by a variety of personal development. My transition from being a follower to a leader has been made possible by the demands of time management and leadership, which have greatly enhanced my organizational abilities.
In conclusion, the Eportfolio studio experience has grown beyond an easy employment opportunity to become a significant component of my academic and professional journey. The skills and knowledge I acquired there will be valuable in my upcoming endeavors and will demonstrate the transformative impact of real-world learning and committed guidance.
